Conversion of offices into high-value apartments, in this prestigious building located just off of Oxford Street. As the building is within the Fitzrovia conservation area it was essential that all refurbishment works to the externals were carried out in a sympathetic way, and that planning permission was granted for all elements. Humphreys and Sons have a wealth of experience when it comes to working with old period buildings such as this, and we also enjoy it immensely. It’s important to have a knowledge of the historic building techniques and how buildings of this age were constructed, in order to design any building works accurately and efficiently, and minimise the chances of uncovering surprises when peeling back centuries old building fabric. The client was delighted to have their run-down and unoccupied office units transformed into luxury apartments, and we were pleased to lead the re-purposing and renovation of this charming building, which will extend it’s lifespan for many more years to come. Humphreys and Sons carried out all design work and also supervised the works on site.
